| | Dogs on the furniture: From Rosey: Well this one night we were sitting on the couch watching TV. I got up and went to the kitchen, got something to eat and brought it back in a bowl. About 5 min later, Cam went and got icecream, came back and sat down. Then...... lmao, Ebony (English Bull Terrier) got up, went to the kitchen, got the plate of catfood (kibble) in her mouth and brought it back to the lounge room. We just stared at her! She carried it in and would have succeeded in what she wanted except in her attempt to jump up onto the couch she bumped the bowl on the edge and spilt the bickies everywhere. We just cracked up and then she got in trouble, but ...... she was just getting a snack like we did ! ----------------------- Then the other night we announced that no-one four legged is to get on the new red lounge .. all three pieces ... absolutely no dogs allowed! Anyway.. other night Suede (Staffie male) gets up on one of the chairs Cam comes in and says "Get off that chair!" So suede did.. but jumped straight up onto the other chair. So Cam says.. suede get off that chair. So he did.. but jumped back up on the first one. Cam yells, "Suede.. get off all the chairs." And he did . . . he jumped up on the couch! lmao . . . then he got put outside. And they say dogs dont understand! I said to Cam "You have to say, 'Get off all the furniture,' and he'll get it." ------------------------------ Jacey says: This afternoon I wondered where rufous was. He had been told he was not allowed to get on the couch alone, must have a person with him. I went into the lounge room to change the cd, and it was dark. I head a noise and looked around and there were two white eyes looking at me from the CHAIR ! He has never been up there before - gave me such a shock! | When Rufous was about 6 months old he was helping with the planting on our farm and discovered that he enjoyed digging in the freshly ploughed plots. To limit his digging area Big R secured his lead to the prong of a large fork and jammed it into the ground. This controlled the site of Ruffies diggings but when Big R wandered off to fetch something Ruffie didn't like being left alone. Coming back, Big R realised that he couldn't see the handle of the fork over the crest of the hill, what he could see was a small brown dog making his way between two rows of freshly planted parsley. Expecting to see the fork dragging behind, Big R was glad Rufous had an anchor to slow him down. Suddenly he realised that the fork was arriving sideways; at right angles to Rufous and nicely flattening the plants on BOTH sides of the gutter. Lesson: dont't leave a little Staffie alone! | | LD reports that his friend has a large male brindle staffie who is a real sticky beak. When they sit talking in the kitchen, Stanley jumps up to look over the half kitchen door. From the table his head appears to bounce up and down, now you see it, now you don't. They called him 'dog on a spring!' LD looked over the door to see just what was going on. Stanley would jump up to get a quick peek over the door, hit the ground again and run in a circle to get the spring for his next bounce. ---------------------------------------- Now there once was a lady Staffie named Brindle, who was so lazy in her old age that she would sleep with her head right in her dinner dish so she could eat when she woke up! ----------------------------- Josi O has a dog called MILO who sits on a chair at the table! Milo hasn't mastered the knife and fork . . yet!!!

CF has a male Staffie who bounces up into his
arms when CF signals him with a pat on the chest.
As dog grows bigger CF staggers under the force.
